UPDATE 10/12/20: The 20202-2021 Denver Dining Out Passbook is now on sale. Enter the discount code “NEWDENIZEN21” in the shopping cart to get the book for more than 50% off – $45 + shipping (normally $99).* The Passbooks are printed in limited number every year, so scoop one up while they are still available.
NOTE: For those wondering, the 2020-2021 Passbook has deal options for dine-in, take-out, or BOTH with each restaurant page specifying the offer options.
On top of that, every week the Denver Passbook website will be updated with a Big F’N Deal – an additional BOGO deal from a Denver restaurant offered to Passbook holders. That’s an additional 52 deals a year! If dine-in service is ever shut down again in Denver, all deals will automatically apply to takeout orders.
When ordering takeout, please contact the restaurant directly by calling them by phone. Deals cannot be applied to online orders or third party delivery service.
Bookmark this page to have the latest version of all the deals (including reader-submitted updates on when the deal in the book is not what’s being honored at the restaurant, as well as restaurants listed that have since closed).
In my first year of using the Denver Dining Out Passbook, I found it to be a great motivator and guide to exploring the Denver food scene. Whenever I was hungry I’d whip out the book and choose a new place to try out – even if the place wasn’t highly rated online, I knew that by using the Passbook at least I wouldn’t be paying full price. It’s like a magical golden ticket you can use — for food!
In case you’re unfamiliar, the Passbook offers some great deals (like buy one entree, get one free) for some fabulous spots around town and you have a whole year to use up all the discounts. Just give your server your passbook before they ring up the check, they’ll mark off the deal as used, and you get cash money back in your pocket after having a lovely meal. It’s pretty darn sweet.
How to use this Passbook map
The one thing that trips me up about the Passbook is it’s organized alphabetically by restaurant name. But what I really need is for the restaurants organized by neighborhood/location — especially when I’m in some part of Denver I don’t really know, but I’m looking to use the Passbook. (Although this year’s book they do list the neighborhood alongside the name of the restaurant.)
That’s why I’m sharing my personal Denver Dining Out Passbook map.
NOTE: Once I get my copy of the book I’ll go through each page and update the map below to show what type of offers are being honored where.
Here’s the key to reading the map:
- Dark green: Offering BOTH a buy one drink, get one free AND a buy one entree, get one free opportunity (must be used on separate visits).
- Light green: Only offering BOGO entree deal.
- Orange: At least one BOGO deal that lists a special type of drink or food item for which it’s valid.
- Purple: One or more of the BOGO offers has some sort of price/day/time restrictions, so be sure to check the deal description.
- Gray: Restaurant has closed.
I’m probably most excited to see new restaurants like The Coop in this year’s book! Yaasssss. Also, one of my fave restaurants, Coperta, is back in the book this year and Señor Bear (featured in the photo on this post) appears once again.
Restaurant closings and deal changes
I’ll update this section when readers have noted the following restaurants are no longer accepting the Passbook or restaurants that are now offering a different deal (than what was originally printed in the PB).
Additionally, I’ll keep an up-to-date list of restaurants that appear in the 2020-2021 Passbook that have CLOSED.

My list of essential spots to eat at from year’s passbook will periodically be updated throughout the year as I try out new spots.
