Happy hour used to be all about giving diners a cheap way to fill up. Think fried apps, sugary drink specials, and empty calories at a bargain. But with fierce competition and diners growing more discerning, pricing alone no longer cuts it. Many restaurateurs now build loyalty by focusing on consistently quality food, not just […]

Don’t let my petite frame fool you — I love to eat. Discovering great new places to eat is one of my favorite things to do. I’ve developed a pretty selective palate, after living in New York City for most of my adult life. It will come as no surprise to anyone that NYC has some of the best food in the entire planet at every price point — to $1 slices of pizza, to food trucks, to fine dining, my hometown has it all.
Now that I live in Denver, I’m so excited to discover the great meals that the great state of Colorado has to offer. I try to keep a no-meat policy, but I do make the occasional exception (usually when it comes to ramen, which always seems to have pork in it). Hopefully a few of my finds will become some of your new favorite places to eat!
The Chef’s Counter at Hop Alley launched in February 2024 and shifted to a tasting menu format just over a year ago. The cuisine starts with Asian influences as its foundation but then branches out, with chefs Sean May and Josh Sanford pulling inspiration from across the globe to divine something new. During my meal […]

By day, the sunny corner lot that houses Odell’s Bagels buzzes with morning regulars ordering expertly crafted open-faced sandwiches and bacon, egg, and cheeses while others quickly drop in to grab a coffee and an everything bagel with cream cheese to go. But when the sun starts to set, a transformation takes place. Entering the […]
I don’t usually post about coffee shops and bakeries because I’m not a morning person. Getting up and facing other humans before 8am is my own personal hell. But sometimes, the best goodies require getting out of the house before lunchtime, so I wanted to share a few spots that are still doing amazing things […]

I regularly update the list based on your tips and my research, and so far I’ve marked 36 restaurants, bars, or cafes that have opened their doors since January 1. But not all […]
The word is out! As mentioned on my Instagram, I’m on the hunt to find the BEST RAMEN IN DENVER. I’m a huge fan of the bowls of noodle soup and I’ve slurped my way through countless bowls of noodles and broths around the world. I’ve totally revamped my Best Ramen in Denver rankings, doing away […]
NADC Burger’s No-Nonsense Two Item Menu
NADC Burger, an Austin-based burger restaurant founded by pro skater Neen Williams and chef Phillip Frankland Lee (Sushi by Scratch Restaurants), opened its first Colorado location in Denver’s Larimer Square in mid-December. The concept grew from the two skating buddies’ post-session burger runs, where they’d brainstorm how to craft the perfect burger. Those daydreams led […]
